Altha Arletta Kelley, age 74, of Coweta, Oklahoma passed from this life on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arletta was born on July 29, 1933 in Webber Falls, Oklahoma to Thomas Madison and Gracie Pearl (Townsley) Clay. She received her education at Central Elementary School in Oneta, Oklahoma and Broken Arrow High School. Arletta and Robert D. Kelley were united in marriage on December 29, 1950 in Coweta, Oklahoma. Arletta was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a member of the Shahan Freewill Baptist Church and Shahan Home Demonstration Club. Her hobbies included bowling, golfing, cooking, and doing church work. Survivors include her husband, Robert of the home; one son, Clay Kelley of Coweta, Oklahoma; one daughter, Lynne Smith and her husband, Larry of Coweta, Oklahoma; two brothers, J.M. Clay and his wife, Pat, of Dumas, Texas and Donald Bryan and his wife, Evelyn, of Missouri; two sisters, Ruth Pagliaro and her husband, Michele of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Josephine Robertson of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Bruce, one granddaughter, Jamie Smith, one brother, and one sister. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 25, 2008 at First Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma with Rev. Lynn Moss of Shahan Free Will Baptist Church officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements and services are under the direction of Wright Funeral Home.
