Alma Lea Phillips

Alma Lea Phillips, age 88, of Coweta, OK passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, January 15, 2015 in Muskogee, OK. She was born on February 15, 1926 to Ira and Maude (Sewell) Nichols. "She watches over the ways of her household, Her Children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, and he praises her..." Proverbs 31:27-28. This scripture comes to mind when we think of our dear Mother, as she was always about doing good, helping others, and putting her family's needs first. She loved being a wife, mother, grandma, homemaker, photographer, and "assistant to the 'Coach'". She was a patient loving mother who raised her sons to be helpful loving husbands and graciously taught her daughters-in-love how to cook. She was preceded in death by Ray Phillips her husband and the love of her life for over 63 years, her parents Maude and Ira Nichols, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by two sons: Rick and Lana Phillips, and Mike and Carol Phillips; 6 grandchildren: Ben and Kim Phillips, Kelly and Dena Phillips, Nick Phillips, Marc Phillips, Micah Phillips and Kylie King; 3 great-grandchildren: Kylie Phillips, Shelby Phillips and Micah Phillips.
