Alma Oree Davis

October 22, 2013 Alma Oree Davis passed away Friday, October 11, 2013 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 93. She was born in Grand Saline, Texas on March 2, 1920 to Jasper J. Jones and Gracie Thompson Jones. She attended school in Grand Saline and Van, Texas. Oree spent most of her life in Tyler, Texas where she was an active member of Daughter of the Nile, Order of the Eastern Star, and Social Order of Beauseant. She was in Real Estate in Tyler for many years before moving to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 2003 to be near her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Garland T. Davis, her parents, and brother J.T. Jones of Van, Texas. She is survived by her son Jerry W. Davis and his wife Glenna, two grandsons Richard Davis and wife Carie, two great grandchildren Callie and Cade Davis of Owasso, Oklahoma and Scott Davis and wife Jo, two great grandchildren Jade and Eli Davis of Bixby, Oklahoma; daughter Martha Willis and husband Nickey, and four grandchildren. Services will be held at Kennedy- Kennard Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and internment will be held at Union Chapel Cemetery in Van, Texas.
