Alma Allean Daniels

Alma Allean Daniels of Coweta, age 85, a loving and caring mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday evening, October 16, 2011 at her home in Coweta with her family at her bedside. She was born on July 15, 1926 in Hulbert, OK and was the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Alma Erma (Crisp) Thornburg. Allean and Robert Lee Daniels were married on March 10, 1943 in Wagoner, OK and were married nearly 58 years until he preceded her in death on January 24, 2001. She worked at St. Francis Hospital for 20 years as a patient transport worker until her retirement. Allean and Robert Lee were long-time members of the Coweta Assembly of God. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, camping, wood crafting and volunteering in church work. Allean is lovingly survived by her two sons, Bobby Daniels and his wife, Donna Sue, of Coweta and Gary Daniels and his wife, Kathy, of Coweta; her daughter-in-law, Gayle Daniels of Jenks; her four sisters, Maxine Rhodes of Wagoner, Pearline Rhodes of Wagoner, Wanda Gardner of Hulbert and Carol Townsend of Hulbert; her three brothers, Allan Thornburg of Broken Arrow, David Thornburg of Wagoner and Roger Thornburg of Coweta; 7 grandchildren, Kimberly Wolf, Jeff Daniels, Brian Daniels, April Crew, Misty Daniels, Derrick Daniels and Candace Daniels, 10 great grandchildren; 30 nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Allean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Lee Daniels, one son, R.L. Daniels, one brother and one sister. The family will be present at a visitation on Wednesday evening, October 19, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services for Allean will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Coweta Assembly of God, 29707 E. State Highway 51, Coweta, OK 74429. Pastor Steve Lee will officiate the service. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Vernon Cemetery in Coweta. Pallbearers are Jeff Daniels, Brian Daniels, Derrick Daniels, Misty Daniels, Candace Daniels and Tom Wolf.
