Judy Carol Vandiver

Judy Carol Vandiver, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend brought warmth and light to all those around her. Judy was born on November 26, 1949, in Monette, Arkansas to William Joseph “Dub” and Ruble Grace (Sutterfield) Beaty, and departed this life on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 74 years.

Judy was the loving wife to James "Jim" Ward Vandiver, whom she married in Hawaii on March 11, 1968. Their union was a testament to enduring love and partnership. Together, they built a family and created a home filled with joy in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Judy’s proudest moments were those spent with her family. She is survived by her husband, Jim Vandiver of the home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her four children, Debbie Kloss and her husband Robert Jr. of Queen Creek, Arizona, Chris Vandiver and his wife Karen of Coweta, Oklahoma, Mike Vandiver and his wife Erica of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Bryan Vandiver of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; eleven grandchildren, Brooke Cook (Nicholas), Hunter Vandiver, Nicholas Vandiver (Samantha), Matthew Kloss, Robert Kloss, Tyler Vandiver (Kalee), Samuel Vandiver (Hannah), Bailey Riggs (Karlee), Tucker Vandiver (Jaleana), Simon Riggs, and Zachary Kloss; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Diana Kay Beaty (Linda Basich) of St. Louis, Missouri; her brother, William Dale Beaty of Kennett, Missouri; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph "Dub" and Ruble Grace Beaty, her sister-in-law, Pat Beaty, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Geraldine Vandiver, and her brothers-in-law, Bobby Vandiver and Don Vandiver.

A graduate of Kennett High School in Missouri, she also attended beauty college. Judy dedicated 39 years to administration work at Sears, showcasing her unwavering work ethic and commitment.

Her involvement with the Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta spoke to her faith and her desire to serve her community. Crafting, painting, crocheting, and needlepoint were not just hobbies but passions that Judy infused with creativity and care, each piece a testament to her love and talent. Those who knew her were touched by her generosity, kindness, and the compassionate spirit she carried with grace.

A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Lone Star Baptist Church in Coweta, Oklahoma.
